About the Role
The Eye Foundation is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Marketing & Fund Raising professional to strengthen its CSR-led initiatives focused on eye care, blindness prevention, and community outreach. The role will be responsible for driving fund-raising efforts, building partnerships, and enhancing the Foundation’s brand visibility among corporates, donors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Raising & Partnerships
- Develop and execute fund-raising strategies aligned with CSR objectives and foundation goals
- Identify, approach, and engage corporates for CSR funding under Schedule VII of the Companies Act
- Build and manage long-term relationships with corporate donors, HNIs, trusts, and foundations
- Prepare proposals, pitch decks, CSR presentations, and funding applications
- Coordinate with corporates on project execution, reporting, and impact measurement
Marketing & Brand Building
- Design and implement marketing campaigns to increase awareness of the Foundation’s eye care initiatives
- Manage digital marketing initiatives including website content, social media, email campaigns, and CSR communications
- Create success stories, case studies, brochures, and impact reports for donors and stakeholders
- Represent the Foundation at CSR forums, conferences, and networking events
Program Support & Reporting
- Work closely with program and medical teams to understand project needs and outcomes
- Track utilization of funds and support impact reporting for CSR partners
- Ensure timely submission of donor reports, documentation, and compliance requirements
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with internal teams, implementation partners, hospitals, and NGOs
- Act as a key point of contact for donors and CSR partners
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience & Background
- 6–8 years of experience in fund raising, CSR marketing, NGO development, or healthcare-related organizations
- Strong exposure to corporate CSR fund raising is highly preferred
- Experience in healthcare, eye care, or social impact organizations will be an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to conceptualize and articulate social impact to corporate stakeholders
- Proficiency in proposal writing and donor documentation
- Understanding of CSR regulations and reporting frameworks in India
- Self-driven, result-oriented, and comfortable working with senior stakeholders
Education
MBA / Postgraduate degree in Marketing, Social Work, Public Relations, or a related field preferred

SNBFIF is a community-focused public health organization implementing a five-year Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Program in underserved urban slum communities across Mumbai. The program aims to prevent avoidable blindness by identifying individuals with diabetes, facilitating early eye screening, ensuring timely referrals, and supporting access to treatment.

About the Role
The Community Health Worker (CHW) serves as a trusted link between the community and the healthcare system. This role is primarily field-based and involves direct engagement with residents in slum communities to promote diabetes awareness, facilitate eye screening, support patient navigation, and address barriers to care.
The CHW plays a critical role in improving screening uptake, treatment adherence, and long-term follow-up for individuals at risk of vision loss.
Core Responsibilities
- Community Outreach & Engagement
- Conduct door-to-door outreach and diabetes screening in assigned slum communities
- Build rapport and trust with community members through consistent engagement
- Mobilize communities to participate in screening camps and follow-up services
- Health Screening & Education
- Support diabetes and eye screening activities, including vision checks and referrals
- Provide one-on-one and group health education on diabetes management, eye health, and prevention of vision loss
- Address myths, fears, and misconceptions related to screening and treatment
- System Navigation & Patient Support
- Guide patients through the healthcare system—from screening to diagnosis, referral, and treatment
- Assist with appointment scheduling, hospital navigation, and follow-up visits
- Identify and help address non-medical barriers such as cost concerns, mobility issues, or lack of family support
- Data Collection & Reporting
- Record screening outcomes, referrals, and follow-up data using smartphones or tablets
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records to support program monitoring and evaluation
- Support tracking of community-level health trends and screening coverage
- Advocacy & Community Representation
- Act as a bridge between the community and healthcare providers
- Advocate for patient needs and improved access to eye care services
- Share community feedback to help improve program design and delivery
- Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as required to support program goals, community needs, and project implementation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education & Experience
- Minimum 10+2 (Higher Secondary) education
- 1–2 years of experience in community health, NGO fieldwork, or public health outreach
- Community & Communication
- Strong connection to and understanding of urban slum communities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to explain health information clearly and sensitively
- Language Requirements
- Fluency in Hindi and Marathi (mandatory)
- Technical Skills
- Basic proficiency in using smartphones or tablets for data entry and communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior field experience in Dharavi, Govandi, or similar informal settlements
- Previous training or experience in diabetes or non-communicable disease (NCD) screening
- ASHA or Community Health Worker certification
Working Conditions
- Primarily field-based, with extensive time spent in community settings
- May require flexible working hours, including evenings or weekends, based on community needs

This is a senior leadership position responsible for the strategic oversight, operational management, and quality assurance of a large-scale community eye health program. The role combines field leadership with data-driven decision-making and close coordination with government bodies, CSR partners, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership & Operations
- Lead end-to-end program implementation and operational execution across multiple field sites
- Oversee daily operations to ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets
- Identify risks and implement corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted service delivery
- Team Management & Capacity Building
- Manage and mentor a field team of 25+ staff, including Community Health Workers (CHWs), supervisors, and coordinators
- Support recruitment, training, performance management, and team development
- Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and community-centered care
- Monitoring, Evaluation & Data Systems
- Design and oversee monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks, indicators, and reporting systems
- Ensure high-quality data collection, management, and analysis to track coverage, outcomes, and impact
- Use data insights to inform program improvements and strategic decisions
- Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
- Coordinate with key stakeholders including municipal authorities (BMC), CSR funders, healthcare partners, and community leaders
- Represent the program in review meetings, site visits, and strategic discussions
- Strengthen partnerships to support program sustainability and scale
- Quality Assurance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, ethical standards, and quality benchmarks
- Support clinical governance processes in collaboration with ophthalmology and medical teams
- Monitor service quality and patient safety across screening, referral, and treatment pathways
- Reporting & Accountability
- Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for funders and stakeholders
- Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent reporting aligned with grant and CSR requirements
- Support audits, evaluations, and donor reviews as required

- Undertake other duties as required to support program objectives, organizational priorities, and emerging public health needs.
Essential Qualifications
- Education
- MD (Community Medicine) or MBBS with MPH
- Experience
- 3–5 years of experience managing large-scale community or public health programs
- Proven experience leading field-based teams and complex operations
- Strong expertise in monitoring & evaluation, data management, and analysis
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on operational engagement
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in diabetes care, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), or ophthalmology-related public health programs
- Experience managing CSR-funded, donor-supported, or public–private partnership programs
- Educational background from top-tier universities or institutes (nationally or internationally)
- Published research in public health, diabetes, ophthalmology, or related fields
- Experience working in urban informal settlements or underserved populations
